More people are going back to theaters not to watch movies, but to play games

Yes, You read right….

It is a new trend that is gaining traction in South Korea.

Theater chains know they've suffered a huge setback from the pandemic, but some are coming up with clever ways to offset some of those losses.

BBC reports that CGV, the biggest film industry company in South Korea, has started allowing gamers to rent the screen for two-hour segments, starting for just $90 before 5 PM, and then going as high as $135 later in the evening.

It’s a lot of money, especially when gamers have to bring their own consoles, controllers, and games. But with everything bundled into one package, who wouldn’t want to play on a screen 20 feet long with epic sound?

Some of the games said the to play games at the theater is pretty cool and sound quality is top-notch and the graphics are almost life-like.

This article mentions that Malco Theaters, an American movie theater chain with 36 cinemas based in the southern US, allowed people to rent screens for gaming or private viewing.

It turns out that US movie theater chains have also joined in the trend of offering gamers screens to rent. Malco Theaters, which owns 36 cinemas across southern states, has done this with users who want to game or enjoy a private screening. They also sell food and Beverages alongside.

Malco Select Gaming service is named after it and costs $100 for two hours or $150 for three hours for up to twenty players.

Though the trend isn’t raising profits, it is gaining traction. Who knows, it may grow into a worldwide phenomenon.

Although it was a terrible year for the film industry, anything is better than nothing.

Do you guys think that this trend will follow in India?

The Buffett Indicator

If you check the stock market, you see that it gives the best picture of the economy  but it is not   if you compared with GDP which is falling  and now it is negative also.   If you see the Buffett indicator it  holds  true that the market is really overvalued and it is not showing the correct picture of  the economy.   For those of you who heard  about the  Buffett Indicator for the first time let me explain to you that it is the Indicator  buil t  by  great investor  Warren Buffett after the Dot-Com Crash  which happened two decades ago.  Warren Buffett said to investors that  to check whether the market is overvalued or not you can check by one  metric which  i s  –  “ Ratio of Market caps of Global stocks to Global GDP .”  Th is ratio  is  known  as the Buffett indicator.   If it is above 100% means the stock market is overvalued.   On 12th A...
