To Take on Slack, Google is Rebranding

If you notice recently that #google was changing its logo for #gmail#meet, and other #gsuite apps for which we use most.

#Google wants to capture the #remoteworking organization people who shift their #work to #home.

#Google Rebrand #Gsuit as #Workplace and incorporate #Gmail#calendar#Docs#Slides#Drive, and other #apps into a single interface.

The upside is that all are interlinked and saves time but the downside is that for
#unlimited storage it cost $8 pm.

Basically, Google is competing against productivity apps like #Slack and #teams.

#Slack gives tough competition to #Google and #Teams. Slack has 12M active customers and is mostly used by enterprise customers mostly #fortune 500 #companies including #Starbucks#oracle, and #Target.

Recently slack announced that it adding security features like sending secure slack msg to people outside the company, and also introduced #Instagram-like stories and push to talk audio, and Slack also integrated with other apps including the workplace.

#Google basically wants to use their #Gmail users because everybody uses Gmail and people will automatically switch to the workplace rather than #slack in the #future.
Slack has new features and Google has mass customers.
