On Monday, #Facebook launches cloud #gaming services in the app and website but FB wants you to play on the app rather than go to the website for 10to 20 times.
But the problem is that this #cloudgaming service is not for the #appleiphone and safari browser. The reason is FB said it couldn't offer the service for the iPhone because of #Apple's "arbitrary" policies on applications that act like app stores.
These games you find on FB Gaming you can also download on mobile but here you can connect with your friends. They include titles like “Asphalt 9: Legends,” which is a 3D racer, and “PGA TOUR Golf Shootout,” a 3D golfing game.
Games quality is not like #GoogleStadia, #AmazonLuna, or #Microsoft’sxCloud. They are just in-app offerings.
What is the FB benefit?
The main benefit is that users will spend more time on FB and see ads and they can also gain through some in-app game purchases in which FB gets 30% commission and 70% go to the developer. For purchases made on Android, Facebook will not take a cut, and instead, its 30% will go to Google.
What FB Aim?
They want to expand the offering apart from social media and want to capture the gaming and hardware market. They also acquire the VR headset company Oculus Rift for $2
Billion.
