Microsoft which is famous for software and platform for businesses is making a play to the short-form viral platform app TikTok. TikTok is in the middle of a geopolitical fight between the US and China and Trump said it is a Security threat for American Citizens and their data could be shared by ByteDance to the Chinese Government. BYJU'S Acquired WhiteHatJr For $300M (Rs 2249 Crore)

WhiteHatJr  is just 18month old ed-tech startup  that teaches kids "How to code". Google also has a similar platform like this but they don't give one on one training like WhiteHatJr. They charge 10$/Hour for that training. It is a cool concept for which they raised a total of $11M, previously they valued at $300M. The Main Question is Why  Byjus  acquired them at $300M which is a very hefty price? Recently National Education policy wants class 6th children to learn coding in their curriculum and because of this, it opens up a huge market which is basically children. Our parents pay huge school fees and after that tuition fees so that their children don't lack behind. WhiteHat Jr could be one such tuition for them. Byjus  which is basically a tuition platform by acquiring WhiteHatJr can cater to more audiences and sell other courses and their premium programs. Coding  is now a basic thing and now people want one on one coaching via online classes wher...

Future of Drone

Last Year I was in Delhi and I was at a local park the other day and I saw this sign,  #NODRONEZONE . It was the first time I'd ever seen a sign like this. It caught my attention, It made me say, that's new, that's weird, and it made me wonder what's behind the sign, what's behind this rule. So I started to think about it. Is this a noise issue? Or maybe something about wanting to go to a park and look up and see blue skies and I started to imagine what the future might be like if these skies were full of drones, constantly buzzing in the background and obscuring our view of the clouds. Then, I wondered well maybe it's a safety issue. There have been recent instances of attacks using drones. For example, the Venezuelan President was attacked during a public speech at a military parade by a drone. Starting to see a lot of news stories about police putting cameras on drones and flying them to areas whether public follow social distancing or not. I think we are ent...
